We are
the people who fight for the rights of the self employed and
self insured. We worked closely with congress to achieve an
80% health insurance deduction for the self employed, as well
as medical savings accounts.
The National
Association for the Self Employed is a federally endorsed
Nonprofit organization formed over 25 years ago to protect
the rights of self employed business owners throughout the
United States. There are legislators and lobbyists in Washington
that are constantly fighting to pass and enact laws that benefit
entrepreneurs and their families who have had the courage
and foresight to "do it on their own". We are strongly
committed the success of our youth and have seen over 1.3 billion
dollars in student loans and college scholarships every year.
There have been several successful strides in leveling the playing
field between big business and small business across the country.
Two of the main areas where we have made a major difference
are the areas of taxes and health insurance.
For years
the self employed have had to carry the burden of unfair taxation
and challenging health care issues including outside of group
limitations and work related coverage.
The NASE
has formed an alliance with Mega Life and Health (UICI) to

the fastest growing segments of our economy, the self employed.

the nature of the self employed who want more control and
